In the essential beliefs, we have unity
In the non-essential beliefs, we have liberty
In all our beliefs, we show love

New Life accepts the Holy Scriptures as the revealed will of God, the all-sufficient rule for faith and practice, and for the purpose of maintaining general unity has adopted the following "Statement of Faith":

WE BELIEVE that the Bible, composed of the Old and New Testaments, is God's inspired, infallible, and inerrant Word, and is the supreme standard and final authority for all conduct, faith, and doctrine.

WE BELIEVE in the unity of the Godhead, eternally existent as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, each of whom possess all the attributes of deity and the characteristics of personality.

WE BELIEVE in God the Father, Creator of heaven and earth, perfect in holiness, infinite in wisdom and measureless in power. We rejoice that He concerns Himself in the affairs of men, that He hears and answers prayers and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.

WE BELIEVE in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

WE BELIEVE in the Person of the Holy Spirit, and that His ministry is to reveal and glorify Jesus Christ to men, to convict of sin, and to regenerate repentant sinners. He continuously indwells them from the moment of spiritual birth, and, by His presence and power, He is to fill, empower, and sanctify the lives of the redeemed.

WE BELIEVE that man was created in the image of God, but by willful transgression became sinful and is justly under the condemnation and wrath of the Almighty God and that man is responsible to God alone in all matters of faith.

WE BELIEVE that the only salvation from this guilt and condemnation is through faith in the righteousness and atonement of the Lord Jesus Christ, and that this salvation is the free gift of God's love and grace. It is not the work, in whole or in part, of human works, goodness or religious ceremony.

WE BELIEVE that there is one universal church with Jesus Christ as its head, composed of all believers who have been joined to Him through saving faith. We are a local expression of that universal church who have joined together to worship, to glorify Jesus, and to exercise the spiritual gifts given by the Holy Spirit.

WE BELIEVE that the Scriptural ordinances of baptism through immersion and the Lord's Supper are outward rites appointed by Christ to be administered to all believers in Jesus Christ.

WE BELIEVE that there will be a resurrection of the just and the unjust; the just, having been redeemed by the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, to be His throughout eternity in glory; the unjust, having died impenitent and unreconciled to God, to eternal separation from God and condemnation in hell.

WE BELIEVE that each believer belongs totally to God. Each believer is accountable to God: to honor and obey Him in all things as the highest priority of life, to know Him personally and intimately, to grow in Christ-like character and conduct, and to contribute by word and deed to spreading the Gospel and helping others mature in Christ.
